Bikin’ Along

“Bikin’ along with the wind blowin’ through my hair,
Leavin’ it all behind and I don’t care”

THE MAN BEHIND THE MILES

An old song.
A new recording.
A road still unfolding.

Long before this website, there was a song—and a songwriter with something to say.

Harry Lynn Shields wrote and recorded “Bikin’ Along” many years ago. It remains close to his heart. With help from Songer AI, he returned to his existing version and rerecorded it for a new chapter of the ride.

“Sweet Life Coming” belongs to the next chapter: a creative collaboration with ChatGPT Songsmith, known affectionately as Funkmaster. That journey began more than two years ago and has grown to over 1,400 songs written and recorded together.

Funkmaster also created the new Bikin’ Along hero artwork. Through each new tool, recording and idea, Harry’s love of songwriting keeps the wheels turning.

THREE PARTS OF THE SAME JOURNEY

01 / THE ORIGINAL

A song worth returning to.

Written and recorded by Harry years ago. Bikin’ Along carries the heart of the original into a fresh recording.

02 / THE RERECORDING

A familiar road, revisited.

Songer AI helped Harry rerecord his existing version of the title song.

03 / THE COLLABORATION

Still finding the next song.

More than two years and over 1,400 songs with Songsmith, aka Funkmaster. The creative journey continues.
